The Second Generation offers significant upgrades over the outgoing First Generation, including a boosted thrust capacity up from 65 lbs. to 90 lbs. without significant increases in weight or dimensions. The improved battery system ensures longer life, and more power, while providing unmatched system run time and operational duty cycles under extreme conditions.

Despite these upgrades, the Smart Thruster maintains its famously easy to handle size and weight. The Smart Thruster’s 22-inch wide motorhead, 40-inch-tall overall height, and 27.1-pound weight allows for easy storage when not in use, or even the ability to carry an onboard spare for long-haul cruisers.

I already own a DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster, can I upgrade my system?

Yes! The track assembly, remote control, and almost all the small accessories are the same, making it easy for existing DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster owners to upgrade. We offer a trade-in program to provide you with the best options to fit your needs.

What warranty coverage is included with the DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster?

All DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster Second Generation systems include a standard 2-year warranty for recreational boat users or 1-year warranty for commercial vessel users. An optional 3-year extended warranty is also available.

Any repairs or upgrades made by us come with a new 2-year warranty for recreational boat users or 1-year warranty for commercial vessel users.

Every DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster System has passed rigorous testing standards before it leaves our workshop ensuring year-after-year-after-year reliable operation. The Smart Thruster’s remote control comes to you already key coded to operate your Smart Thruster, and any additional remote control that you purchase will also come to you pre-programmed to work with your Smart Thruster system.

We custom build every Track Assembly when you order your Smart Thruster System, and we test every Smart Thruster and Track Assembly together to ensure that your track assembly and Smart Thruster work together just the way that they should. This helps to ensure that your system is just as easy to install as it is to operate.

The DOCKSTAR Smart Thruster features an industry first operational safety system to prevent accidental operation of your Smart Thruster. The Smart Thruster and Track Assembly have a built-in key and arming system that will allow the Smart Thruster to only operate when it is fully deployed and seated at the bottom of the track.
